I upgraded today to VB 5.1.6 with the corresponding additions. My Fedora 24 client on my
mac 10.11.6 system no longer has a working video or keyboard for the VM.
Upon booting I get a gray screen, If I resize the window I can get a black screen or
most of a login screen but the keyboard and mouse are apparently not working.
I can ssh into the VM so it appears that the lack of video is the main problem....
Am I the only one with this problem?
Thanks

Re: macOS 10.11.6 + VB 5.1.6 = Disaster
I seem to have found a work around...
Booting the Fedora image gives a grey screen.
Refreshing the window ( pop a window over the VM screen ) shows the user name.
Clicking on the username and refreshing the vm screen again shows the password box
Clicking on the password box, carefully typing the password ( nothing will show) and hitting the return key
will start the session and everything seems to be working except that sound frequently 'goes away' and
sometimes restarting the guest does no good.
It looks like ( for me anyway ) xdm is buggered.

Also, there is no problem with restoring a saved image.
This again sorta points the finger at the display/loging manager.

OK, a better solution:
In the file /etc/gdm/custom.conf uncomment the line
and reboot.
The reboot brings me to proper login screen immediately.

Moving to "Linux Guests" since it apparently has nothing to do with your host.
