user registered? - how to check? [SOLVED]

Post by 52ROSt »

LMDE Mate

VB 5.0.14 Extension Pack & Guest Additions are installed.

USB not recognized.

I want to check if the user is registered in the VB user group.

Please, what is the command to list the registered user?

"id" in the terminal will tell you what you need to know.

Thanks for the hint with "id".

When i run this command, I get

Code: Select all

~ > id
uid=1000(rost) gid=1000(rost) groups=1000(rost),4(adm),24(cdrom),27(sudo),30(dip),46(plugdev),108(lpadmin),111(sambashare),128(vboxusers)
However, I don't see the names of the users for the vbox.
How can I make the usernames visible as well?

Thanks in advance for your hints!

According to your post you are registered to the vboxusers group, 128(vboxusers) plus all the other groups indicated with the ( * ) and rost should be the name you use to log in with. What more do you need?
