Kali not running on VirtualBox

Hello,

We're following this guide to get Kali 2016.2 (32-bit) to run on latest VirtualBox

If we try to run the 'Live' version, Kali just sits there at "Loading, please wait..."
If we select "Install" or "Graphical Install", we just get a blank screen.

How do we get Kali running on VirtualBox please?

I have an update - after countless restarts, it now complains with the 'mount' problem as per attachment

The settings look OK, except one step at the beginning. When you create the VM, you can select at creation time that it is going to be Debian. Mind the 32- vs 64-bit.

If you have the latest VirtualBox and Kali versions and the same settings and it still fails, please read the following: Minimum information needed for assistance.

Update: I was in the middle of writing this when you posted your 2nd message, so I reminded me of this: make sure that whatever you download is not corrupt by comparing the checksums.

Hi, the 'mount' problem went away, so I still just have the 'blank screen'.

checked my setting and TYPE is Linux and VERSION is Debian (32-bit) in the VirtualBox settings.

Just out of curiosity, I am able to install Kali on both Hyper-V and VMWare on this same hardware, but now want to use VirtualBox instead.

Disable Hyper-V and see if it helps.
