Hi,
I have downloaded a Zip file from oracle tech network which is a pre-configured VM. Its not a OVA or OVF file, its a VMDK file.
I have created a new VM in oracle virtual box.
Options selected:
OS : Linux Oracle 64bit
Mem : 16gb
Use existing disk : R2PS2VM-disk2.vmdk
The vmdk : R2PS2VM-disk2.vmdk is the hard disk thats preconfigured for a lab.
When i boot this VM up i have the error: volgroup00 not found type 0x83
the hard disk has OEL 5.5 on it, and some Identity and Access management software along with Oracle database etc.
I just cant get it to start, when i use the rescue option on the OEL5.5 disk i have a kernel panic killing init error.
I can only get to a shell if using the OEL6 rescue disk and then chroot /mnt/sysimage
So issues with booting the system up
No volumes found
Volume group "VolGroup00" not found type 0x83
unable to access resume device (dev/VolGroup00/LogVol01)00/LogVol100 rhgb quiet
mount: could not find filesystem '/dev/root'
