Wireless usb adaptor (TP Link TP-WN722N) problem

Good afternoon

Last few days I've tried my hardest to get vbox to pickup the above usb. I've disconnected from my Linux host and tried to get kali to pick it up but no joy. I think I've ran out of webpages and YouTube videos to help me out.

I really don't understand what I'm doing wrong. If I disconnect the laptops WiFi adapter and use the usb in Linux I have a connection but no usb devices are showing.

Any advice is grateful
