Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am currently studying to be a pen tester some day
I installed Kali linux as my main OS, I got VB installed and windows 10 set up. I cant ping my windows machine from my linux machine =\
I cant set up the host only adapter for some reason. it wont connect to the internet =(
any advise is greatly appreciated

Host only means exactly that. It will not access anything but the host. You can add another adapter set to VBox NAT and access the Internet from the guest.
