setup: VB 5.0.26; Win7 virtual machine on a Linux host.
Some app windows will open offscreen. The only way I can access these windows is by accessing the icon in the menu bar and choosing "Maximize". If I hit the resize window button in the app, the app disappears off the screen. I can't seem to use the "Move" function to make the app appear on screen. The virtual machine window is maximized, so I don't understand where the app windows are hiding.
Any ideas?
Win7 virtual machine - some app windows cannot be seen without maximizing
Re: Win7 virtual machine - some app windows cannot be seen without maximizing
Figured it out. Instead of using "Move" or the resize button, I grabbed the top bar of the maximized app window and dragged it, which auto-resizes it, and it stays on screen.

It is possible to have the guest screen be larger than the host window, even if the Guest Additions are installed in the guest, if "Auto-Resize Guest Display" (View menu) is unchecked. Then the guest OS's display setting controls the screen size and is no longer locked to the guest window size.
