Sound Delays on XP VM in current version of VB

I noticed while testing Wolfenstein 3D SDL and Return to Castle Wolfenstein in virtualbox, the previous virtualbox version that I had played them without any sound delays. Now there are sound delays. Is there anyway to fix this? I had the XP video memory set to max on the virtual machine. Lowering it did not do anything.

That's quite vague, don't you think? Especially in a couple of months "Now" in not only going to be vague, it's going to be invalid. Please be specific.

Also, post a VBox.log.zip file:
  1. Start the VM. Not from a saved or suspended state. Clean start.
  2. Take the steps required to generate/observe the error, i.e. play the game.
  3. Shut down the VM. Not suspended, not paused. Shut down.
  4. Right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager. Select "Show Log..."
  5. Save it (just the first log), ZIP it and attach it in your response (see the "Upload attachment" at the bottom of the form).

Please don't forget to state which exactly was the "previous" VirtualBox version, not just the "current" one. As it is, no one is going to even try guessing what you mean.

VirtualBox-5.1.2-108956-Win does not have sound delays whereas VirtualBox-5.1.4-110228-Win does. These are both in regards to when the guest additions ISO is installed. I uninstalled VirtualBox-5.1.4-110228-Win and am using VirtualBox-5.1.2-108956-Win. I installed the virtual machine from scratch using VirtualBox-5.1.4-110228-Win and had the issues after installing the guest additions from that version. However, the guest additions must be the same because the same virtual machine state functions properly without delays in the VirtualBox-5.1.2-108956-Win version.

The log files are in the process of being added here. I will need to reinstall VirtualBox-5.1.4-110228-Win.
