I'm starting using VB (current version) and I have created a WinXP guest on a Win7 host. Set up the additions
on the guest and everything is working ok. The only exception is that I can't access the printer installed on
the host. The printer is configured as shared.

I would create a second NIC in the host set to Host Only so that you have a network connection between the host and guest. Network and Printer Sharing needs a network connection to operate over.
