Running on 64-bit vbox 5.1.2 on a Win7 host.
Guest running linux 4.6.6 / xorg 1.18.4 64-bit.

Getting
vboxvideo: kernel driver found, not loading
when I startx

When I revert to the VESA driver, display works, but the keyboard and mouse are not responsive.

I've attached my Xorg.log.

From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use " " if the name has a space in it.

Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.

Also post the guests log file.

And the guest log file? Also what exactly is this guest?

This is running Linux 4.7 64-bit.
Where does one download Linux 4.7 64-bit? Or are you saying this is a self compiled guest starting with the 4.7 kernel and you are building it yourself?

Look at the logs and you should see D-Bus issues which will cause this issue.

Yes, it's a self-compiled kernel.
Getting the same problem with dbus enabled.

IIRC this has been discussed at bugtracker and you should search there to see if an answer fits your build.

Also VirtualBox 5.1.4 was just released and does have some fixes for kernel 4.7. You might try that version as well.
