Evening Gents.......Just installed virtual Box for the first time on my windows 10 laptop.
Seemed to be a perfect install...and then I installed win XP sp1.
System seems to run perfectly. Activated OK.
However..........When I install a cd in the drive and run setup in XP it auto ejects and win 10 asks
for a disc. Load drive - and it just ejects again...
Any ideas guys - driving me potty - it all seemed to be going so well........

Re: Newbie Problem
This begs for more details. It's pretty vague. What CD are you trying to install? What's the exact message? How do you mount the CD? What disk does Win10 ask for? Again complete and exact error messages, warnings and symptoms. Enough so that we can reproduce the problem. And teh version of VirtualBox please.VirtualMick wrote:When I install a cd in the drive and run setup in XP it auto ejects and win 10 asks for a disc.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Socratis...............
Thank you for the response-and apologies for the delay in my response.....however the machine I have the problem with is now unserviceable so I cannot give you the info. Hopefully when my problems are sorted I can start again - and give you more info -must admit I was MUCH to parsimonious with the problem details.
Have a nice day.
