  • Why do you want to do it?
  • What's a "quest vm"?
  • From my (quick) reading, there are two Dell tags; Service and Asset. I don't know which one you refer to, because "systag" sounds like a System tag, which doesn't exist.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Hi,

Thank you for your fast reply.

Sorry, I meant Service Tag :)
With Quest VM I meant Quest System (Quest OS), the VM I am running in VirtualBox.
I want to use a script to use the service tag.

Kind regards,

Y.

I don't think you can do it. From my (quick) reading, it seems that this is not one of the standard DMI features.

It doesn't hurt to try, just don't keep your hopes high. Chapter 9.12 Configuring the BIOS DMI information.
