Seamless mode grayed out - win2k guest vbox 5.1

Hi,

I guess i have th esame problem as many but can't find a clear way to solve it

Running vBox 5.1 on a macOS 10.11 host for a windows 2000 guest

Installed guest additions from latest downloads. Seamless mode is grayed out

I'm not sure why, but I was unable to enable seamless mode in anything less than WinXP (versions tested: 5.0.15 and 5.1.13). It seems to be related to whether Direct3D is available for the guest in the GAs, although it doesn't make sense. So, either the manual needs to be updated or there is a bug somewhere.

After a really quick search, I found ticket #11545 : [REGRESSION] Seamless mode stopped working in Windows 2000 guest, which seems to point to the oldest working version with that feature was 4.1.x. But as I said I did a very quick search. You may have better luck/patience...
