Virtual screen is not auto-resizing

I am using Arch, which I regularly update using package manager. There is a Win8 guest, which has been working without any issues for about 2 yrs now. I am not sure if it is related to any of the host updates, but recently Auto-resize is not filling the full window. Neither it is allowing to manually resize to higher resolutions. Guest additions are installed (of course) and updated. Attached is a screenshot.

It looks like you might be using the disto's fork version of VirtualBox. You can either ask in their forums for help, or completely remove their version and install the official version from the Downloads section of VirtualBox (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads).

Thanks. I'll try and ask there. Do I need to close this thread somehow?

No need to close it. It might help future searchers.
BTW, although there is not an Arch specific version, you could always try the generic ".run" version of VirtualBox.
