No matter what I do, the Win95 VM can't seem to use the Win7 host's wifi. I've been over the network settings for both with a fine tooth comb and have read documentation online, watched YouTube videos, but nothing I try works. I've taken screencaps of what I've tried doing and was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.
Even after bridging my wifi adapter with the VB Host Only Network, my Win95 guest still can't use my laptop's wifi.
The adapter in the vm will always show as wired, not WiFi. Whether any vm can use bridged mode to a WiFi adapter in the host is variable. It will not always be possible.
Even so, I am not convinced that you problem isn't simply an old browser version. Get rid of the bridge, set the vm adapter back to NAT (the default) and see if you still get the same problem.
I reset it to NAT. Still can't connect with the default IE. I tried installing IE 5.5 downloaded on my laptop, but it wouldn't install. As far as I know, there aren't many browsers out there that support 95. Can you recommend anything?
Tried installing Firefox 1.5 linked from the site you linked me too. Decompression went OK, but when it started validating the integrity of the archives, I got this:
Is there any way to rectify that or should I take it as a sign to give up?
