VirtualBox Guest Additions failed in Kali Linux

I tried running ./VBoxLinuxAdditions.run in Kali Linux, and got this:

Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing VirtualBox 5.1.0 Guest Additions for Linux...........
VirtualBox Guest Additions installer
Copying additional installer modules ...
Installing additional modules ...
vboxadd.sh: Building Guest Additions kernel modules.
Failed to set up service vboxadd, please check the log file
/var/log/VBoxGuestAdditions.log for details.


Not sure how to fix this, and the only thing that seemed similar that others are posting is regarding a header issue. It doesn't seem like this is the problem here. Help?
