Keyboard and Mouse not working with USB controller enabled
Keyboard and Mouse not working with USB controller enabled
I'm currently running a guest machine of Kali linux and have recently tried to install a TP-LINK Archer T2UH wireless card. The issue I am having is that in order for me to access this wireless card I need USB enabled, but when I do enable it, my keyboard and mouse stop working? Are there any solutions to fix this?

Re: Keyboard and Mouse not working with USB controller enabled
99% you have installed a blank USB filter, that is a filter with all its values empty. A blank filter will capture every USB device on this neighborhood of the universe, including your keyboard and mouse. Delete it.
What you need to do is to create a specific filter for each device you want to capture. You can use the auto-filling option in the USB settings (use the "green +" button) or fill them yourself, if you know the VendorID and ProductID.
In any case, those should be the only two values that you'd need. Even if you automatically fill in the values, just go and delete all of them except the two mentioned above. More details in the user manual.
