I was wondering over two things:
1. What are benefits of installing GA in server without x.org?
2. Does GA affects resolution or other aspects when using x.org through xfvb?

There is a
whole chapter in the user manual covering this subject.

I'll highlight the "titles" of the key features that GAs provide to a guest (from
Chapter 4. Guest Additions):
- Mouse pointer integration : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Shared folders : I couldn't tell if that maybe of use in your case.
- Better video support : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Seamless windows : I don't think that this is of use in your case.
- Generic host/guest communication channels : You could potentially use that if you want to know the some of the properties/state of your guest.
- Time synchronization : Not necessary if you use NTP.
- Shared clipboard : I don't think that there can be a clipboard without X.
- Automated logons (credentials passing) : I couldn't tell if that maybe of use in your case.

I don't know the answer to this one, I'll let someone else handle it.

Basically all you get without X is the shared folders, and maybe time sync. All the other features require X.
But I am guessing you want the screen bigger, right? This is a basic Linux configuration and is called framebuffers. See your guest OS for details on how to adjust ( increase ) them.
