The Utax TA LP 3022/4022 shown in your USB filter is a Triumph Adler laser printer, which is something different to the Kyocera FS-1030D in the screenshot from the guest.
Also the screenshot shows the printer connected to LPT1: and not to USB.

Hello Martin,
thanks. My printer is a Triumph Adler. Yes in the lists the programms found it like UTAX or Kyocera. But i never got problems before. How i can get it into usb ? I only have LPT1 or COM ports. How i can change that?

thx

Can you actually get a USB device to work in the guest? Something like a thumb drive, Etc.?

Lets see what the following shows. In the host terminal run the following and post the results:

Code: Select all

lsusb

and

VBoxManage list usbhost

So you can get the scanner to work in the guest right and it is a USB scanner?

Hello perrgy,
yes i can. But first i get the same message like with the printer.
After i am install the driver, then is everything fine. i'm not shure about the id of the printer. Its a Kycera labeld as Triumph.can that be that here it comes to problems ?
Because i saw in linux 0482:0015 and in VM manager ther write 0082:0015. Can that be a reason ?

OK so you have eliminated the host and VirtualBox from being the direct cause. The only thing left is the guest and the printer drivers. This falls into the realm of a Windows driver and or printer support install issue. I can not help with that as I don't really do Windows these days, but I do remember how hard it was if you do not follow the printer manufacture install instructions to the letter. That would be your next step as far as I see it.

I will now leave you in the hands of the Windows folks as I don't have anything else to give in this matter.

Hello perryg,
thanks for your great support. I like that if somebody analize everything step by step and the circle becomes smaller. But what i don't understand is, on other machines the printer works with the same driver.hm

Hello Perryg,

Sorry since this is not in my immediate section now I missed it earlier. The error you post is normal. The screen shot is for the preview window in the main manager and depending on where the boot process is will show this error.
