Had a perceivable 50/100ms audio delay, with YouTube and audio-related software.
In the virtual machine settings, I set:
Audio->Host audio Driver->ALSA Audio Driver (was: PulseAudio)
Controller audio: Intel HD Audio (unchanged)
and it solved the problem.
Just reporting this, I'll let the experts decide if it's worth a bug report or a discussion.
My concern is that PulseAudio is set as the default host driver (e.g. when creating a new virtual machine).
