Fedora 24 and Vbox 5.0/5.1

Hi,
Just installed VirtualBox 5.1 on a new Fedora 24 workstation install (GNOME desktop). Everything seems to be working, but when trying to install the extention pack, VirtualBox GUI freezes and "top" shows VBoxSVC is using 100% CPU. No VMs are running.
I tried installing using VBoxManage command - same thing exactly and when aborting this stuck command, VBoxSVC keeps running 100% CPU until I kill it.
I tried the same thing with VirtualBox 5.0 latest on the same machine (after removing VirtualBox 5.1) and the same issue occurs.
I looked at the /var/log/vbox-install.log, other then messages about compiling the kernel modules there is nothing there.
Suggestions?
BTW - test buld pages shows outdated builds so I couldn't try any test builds.
Thanks
