I am running a centos7 virtual host under ubuntu to run a copy of our production web site. This has been working for a year now, but today when I started it up the guest adapter did not get an IPV4 address from the DHCP. On running ifconfig I observe:
RX packets 0 bytes 0
RX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 frame 0
TX packets 13 bytes 1518
TX errors 0 dropped 0 overruns 0 carrier 0 collisions 0
I interpret this as demonstrating that the virtual host sent out the DHCP request but got no response. I have shut down and restarted the guest.
How can I figure out why VirtualBox is not forwarding the bridged packets?

Re: Bridged Ethernet Adapter No Traffic
never mind. The Ethernet cable to the router was loose.
