Hi,
I have two VM with Windows 7 OS.

One is running into Mac OS host, with Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and 4GB RAM.
The guest is with one processor core and 2GB RAM

Other is running into Windows 10 host, with Intel i3 processor 8GB RAM.
The guest is with one processor core and 3GB RAM

Bouth VM are running too slow.
To install or unistall softwares like Visual Studio, it takes a day, when in normal conditions, it must take at most 2 hours.

What can I do to improve performance of this VM guests?

Thanks
Otavio Camargo

You understand that it's a virtual machine right? And therefore will never have the performance of native? I just wanted to make sure, since you give no hint of this in your question.

Please in future shut down your VM before grabbing the log: still open log files will be truncated when grabbed, and are of limited use to us. Zip the log before attaching it.

New Win7 guests are often slow, as that's when they are doing a lot of disk indexing and update checking - and there's a suspicion that Win7 gets low priority on the MS update servers too.

Plus, just a single core for a modern 64bit guest OS? That isn't exactly going to fly along at the best of times. But, there's nothing you can do about that except buy a new quad core PC. You can't give both cores to the VM, it would be even slower.

Thank you for your recommendations mpack.
I'll zip files log next time.
I know VM will never have the same performance as the HOST.
I want to know what I can do to improve performance of VM according to host's hardware.
I think this low performance could be caused by wrong configuration in VM settings.
About win 7 update check, I disabled windows update to avoid this problem.
Could I consider hardware upgrade to solve this problem, specific on MAC host, like replace HD by an SSD, put more memory, or even replace the processor by a new one?
Could I have any hardware incompatibility doing this?
Thanks

Your settings seem correct for the host hardware.

I'm not going to recommend changes to your current hardware since I have no idea what changes it supports. It is true that a (true) quad core CPU, SSD, and bags of RAM provides for a very good VM platform.
