Web cam and Mic

If you install Ubuntu in Virtual Box Can you use the webcam and mic thats preinstalled on my Mac?

I just tested it with an Ubuntu 12.04 VM and both the camera and the microphone worked. Just a note, that in order to use the camera you have to enable it under Devices, Webcams. No such requirement for the microphone.
