I've an old Epson C900 printer (lovely thing) which will only work in XP. I set up a virtualbox, got it up and running, installed IPP service and ensured all is well. The firewall is off and the printer is working at;
http://localhost/printers/AL900/.printer
The network is bridged with an ip of 129.168.0.6. If I go to http://192.168.0.6/printers/AL900/.printer in host browser I get the XP provided website up for the printer.
I believe this is the same URL to use for cups, so I tried it, but the job disappears. There are many 200 success messages in the log but that could just be the XP website not the actual service. That said, if I add a network printer in XP using that IP it works and prints, so it doesn't use ipp:// or :631?
Am I missing anything?
