broken resolution

whenever I start machine window is always very small and when I resize it is still stuck in very small resolution as in image.

I have the same problem. I've got a full hd display /1920x1080/ but VBox permits only 1024x768 max. I'm a Win7 user and need Ubuntu on my VBox. Does anybodu know the solution?

Installed the GuestAdditions in the Guest?
