Hi, I am looking to run ubuntu for development purposes but am having troubles getting it installed.
My main machine is an i7-4790k, r9 390 & W10.
I have aloted 10 GB of fixed HDD space and 1 GB of RAM for the VM. I have downloaded the 16.04 i386 iso and when I try to run the VM I will get stuck on a purple screen that says Ubuntu 16.04.
Sometimes I get an error message that says :
smbus base address uninitialized upgrade bios or use force_addr=0xaddr
Or I will get a little drum-type sound but the screen looks like a video driver has crashed, which I attached a screenshot of.

Re: Unable to install Ubuntu 16.04
If you press the combination of Host+F1 and then follow with Host+F7 does it clear up?
Re: Unable to install Ubuntu 16.04
Clears up the screen yes but now I am presented with a black screen.
I tried it again and increased the display video memory to 128MB and it seems to have worked with the hotkeys suggested.
Thanks!
