Crashes repeatedly

Post by CoreyR »

Hi,

For the past few months, my virtualbox has been crashing. It is running a legitamate Windows 7 32-bit. Once it crashes, I try to restart the box and it just hangs at Windows startup. Occasionally I can make it to the login screen but that is it. Sometimes it asks to do startup repair, but that also hangs forever.

When it crashes I get a bluescreen, but it restarts so fast I cant read it.

This forces me to reinstall windows which I must have done 10 times now. But it works for at most 3 days then it crashes again.

I am on Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit.

This latest crash, when windows restarted it was scanning the disk for errors.

Ive uploaded a log.

Code: Select all

04:02:25.644837 AHCI#0P0: Canceled write at offset 6064549888 (131072 bytes left) returned rc=VINF_SUCCESS
04:02:25.646637 AHCI#0: Port 0 reset
Log is full of these errors.

I would do a drive test on the host. It looks like you may have a drive starting to fail.
