I have a Linux host (Ubuntu 14.04) and a Windows 10 guest. The guest performance audio/video playback is like it is in slow motion. Guest Additions are installed. VirtualBox is version 5.0.20 r106931.

It doesn't seem to matter if it is flash, html5 player, Spotify, VLC. All audio/video playback is slow.

Not sure what other information is needed. Suggestions?

Post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

I don't see anything wrong. I suggest that you view the task list on host and guest to see what processes are hogging CPU or I/O.

Nothing suspicious on task list. Nothing seemingly hogging CPU.

IIRC there was an issue with 5.0.20 and guest audio. I would upgrade to at least the 5.0.26 version and see what happens.

Ugh, removing and reinstalling the audio device on Windows fixed it.
