Hi,
I am running window 10 guest OS on a windows 8.1 host. I have a bluetooth headset which is connected to the host OS via usb dongle. It works fine with the host system, I can hear the sound. But I cannot here the sound from the guest OS.
I also tried to add the usb dongle directly to my guest OS but nothing happens when I click on it.
When I plug in my normal wired hedphones to the host OS I get the sound also from the guest system without any problems.
Could anyone advice on how to rectify this?
Problem connecting bluetooth headset to gest win 10 in win 8 host

It's a bug: virtualbox. org/ticket/14386. No word on fix timeframe, hopefully soon.

@NajiB
This problem is about the microphone not showing on the guests, bluetooth or not. The OP is complaining about "hearing the sound". Completely different problem.
@VBoxe
I don't remember seeing your report, so if you're still around, can you please tell me how you're connecting the Bluetooth adapter (before or after you start the VM) and what did you try when you said "you tried to add the USB dongle directly to your guest"?

Re: Problem connecting bluetooth headset to gest win 10 in win 8 host
Seeing "headset" and not *headphones* (what OP probably meant to write) made it easy to misread. The "phones" audio normally passes through w/ no problems, mic audio (bluetooth) in recent releases, not.

Well, it could be headset, not just headphones. headset, as having both a microphone and headphones
