My CPU infromation is depraved and prominent

Post by Jack3d »

Hi 2 all. My question is: how i can mask my CPU information. Cuz all can see it. Its not SAFE. And why VB can mask other information BUT CPUinfo CANT?

What makes you think this is unsafe?
You give the permission for others to use VirtualBox or not. If you don't trust them then don't allow them to use it.

Can you please explain what exactly is not safe about seeing a CPU make and model? Because, you're not the only one that is using that specific CPU, you know. I, for example, am using "Intel Core i7-2820QM CPU @ 2.30GHz". Am I in danger?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Can you provide the documentation where this is actually stated to be a fact ( unsafe )? Or is this just your opinion?

Some information is always show because VirtualBox is a simulator and not an emulator. Not all functions of the host CPU are passed to the guest and is normal.
If this is not to your liking then you should use an emulator and not VirtualBox. Be aware that emulators are extremely slow but that is your choice.

Oh and grow up! All the "WTF" is going to get your posts ignored.

What's the problem if anyone see the serialnumber of the cpu?
And if you don't want to see the cpu serial numer, you have to disable that in the bios of your host system!
