Win10 Guest Can't Join Homegroup
Win10 Guest Can't Join Homegroup
I have three PCs in my network, 2 Windows 10 and 1 Windows 7. They belong to a homegroup and have no problem shering files and printers. I am running the latest version of Virtual Box on my Win 10 Pro machine. I installed Win 10 Home as a guest. I cannot get the guest OS to join the homegroup. I get the message "No other homegroup PCs are available right now". Homegroup password is correct and the guest is part of the HOME network. Network discovery is turned on. I can access files on the other two machines via the network, but for some reason I can't access anything on the VBox host machine. And yet I can access the guest machine via Network from the host machine. Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix this?

That's where VirtualBox's issues are ending and your guest's OS problems are beginning. You might have better luck if you change your focus from VirtualBox and on to the guest OS installed.Nanook wrote:I can access files on the other two machines via the network
