When I tried to drag the file on the host desktop into the guest machine, a prompt box displayed on the guest desktop and the file cann't be dropped into the guest machine. At this time, after the dragging operation is cancelled, any of the icons on the guest machine desktop cann't be selected. only if the guest system is logout and login again. By the way, my host system is windows 10 and guest is windows xp.
the attachment is the my screenshot.

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

Include the <vm>.vbox file in the zip as well please.

The case I described does not occur every time, only sometimes.

256MB is a bit small for the VM. Low memory can cause all kinds of glitches, so I would try 1024MB. Everything else looks ok so far.

256MB is it's original request, so I let it be. and I find that if I modify the memory to a bigger one, the running speed would be slower. you mean if I distribute more memory to the VM, it will work more better and stability?
