sorry if this is a duplicate but I cannot find a solution anywhere,I have a windows server 2008 r2 running as guest in VB, I installed dreamweaver to work on some websites, when I modify a file in dreamweaver it appears to save it however the changes are not actually made to the file. Could this be a write permission issue ?
I tried to change the permissions for the /inetpub folder but it keeps reverting back to previous setting without allowing me to set it there, ie trying to change creator/owner to 'full control' and it won't let me etc.
Any suggestions please ?

Are you talking about a GA shared folder? Try it with a true network share.

it's not a shared folder that is shared in between host and guest OS, it is just a folder on within the guest, if that's what you mean sorry

If dreamweaver is running in the guest and the folder you're apparently saving to is also in the guest then Virtualbox isn't influencing your issue. You'll have to talk to Microsoft and the dreamweaver support team to get the problem fixed.
