Hi there.
I am Linux Mint 32bits user.
Installed Free version(from software manager) of virtualbox and installed extension pack.
What is the reason i cannot use the virtual box?
I attach 2 images.

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click it in GUI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

If by that you mean that you used the Mint repository, that is a fork of the official VirtualBox, and as such is not supported. Install the official VirtualBox package and the matching ExtPack from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

If you still are having problems after that, please read the following: Minimum information needed for assistance. As far as the "VBox.log.zip" goes, here's what you do:
  1. Start the VM. Not from a saved or suspended state. Clean start.
  2. Take the steps required to generate/observe the error.
  3. Shut down the VM (if it hasn't aborted by itself). Not suspended, not paused. Shut down. If you can't shut it down by normal means, close the VM window and select "Power off".
  4. Right-click on the VM in the VirtualBox Manager.
  5. Select "Show Log..."
  6. Save it (just the first one), ZIP it and attach it in your response (see the "Upload attachment" at the bottom of the form).
 Edit: Oops, slow fingers ;)

I can only assume that the software isn't installed correctly.

Btw, saying "the free version of VirtualBox" is redundant - all versions are free. It's only a support contract that costs money. If what you really meant is that you downloaded VirtualBox from a repo then that means you are using a fork - you aren't using VirtualBox so it isn't possible to support you here on the VirtualBox forums. Either seek support in your guest OS's support site, or uninstall the fork and install the official version from the download site here. Follow the installation instructions in the user manual, then we can talk.

p.s. I hope you understand that you need e.g. a Windows 8.1 install DVD if you want to install Windows 8.1. Ditto Win7.
