attaching a debugger to vboxdrv

Hey,
I'm trying to remote debug the vboxdrv kernel module (or more specifically the VMXEnable procedure)
but i cannot seem to load the debug symbols.
I compiled virtualbox with debug symbols on the debugger machine, and created a redistributable package, also i got the a debug symbols as a result.
but i can't seem to find the right symbol file to load in order to break at that procedure.
can anyone give me some pointers ?
