unable to use usb on Win7 guest

Dear all,
I'm using virtualbox 5.0.20 on an up-to-date Arch system (x64), installed on a Lenovo T450s. Everything works perfectly, except for USB access. Now, my laptop has only USB3 slots, and I've read that, in order to be able to use USB3 on the windows 7 guest, one has to install the Intel xHCI drivers, which I did, as can be seen in the attached screenshot of the device manager of the windows guest; furthermore, my user is in the vboxusers group, and I have selected the USB3 option in the USB settings of the VM; but, no matter which USB device I plug in, whenever I go to Devices ->USB, there is NO device shown that could be plugged in to the VM; what am I missing?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I really need the USB access.
Kind regards,
Mat
