hello , i am new to virtual box and install Ubuntu successfully with help of video but now i am installing Kali Linux and at last stages of installment i am stuck where it says that disk would be formatted but i really dont understand will it format the host operator (window OS folder) or not .. help me

When you create a guest it makes a very large file that resides on the hosts hard drive. Formatting the guest only does so to the file structure that is created for the guest so it will be fine.
