hi,
I have several older games who, when I run them in full screen mode (in their options not the VB), would stretch across the monitor. They might be a bit pixely but big enough. On the VB (with quest additions installed) the whole virtual screen will shrink - how can I force the quest (win xp) to keep the selected screen resolution?
ty!
low res apps are shrinking the virtual display..

The game is behaving exactly as it should, and so is VBox.
The way the game "goes fullscreen" is by changing the resolution of the computer it's running on to whatever resolution it's running at is.
So, as far as the game knows, it is fullscreen. Same for Windows. The problem is that when you lay that 640x480 window on the 1024x768 screen of your host, it obviously doesn't take up the whole screen. (insert your own numbers for the resolutions)
The only way to get the behavior you want would be to set the resolution of the host to whatever resolution the game wants to run at.
