Hi
I'm not able to install Ubuntu 16.04 64bits on Windows 10.
Ubuntu 14.04 64bits has no problem, at least until the installation screen.
This is what I get:
I think this is a Ubuntu issue, but if anyone has other opinion, a similar problem, or was able to install 16.04: a feedback is very welcome.
Attachments: logs from 16.04 and 14.04
Thank you

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 Guest on Windows 10 Host installation
This crops up sometimes with some host GPUs. You can usually drop to a tty and back and it will allow you to see the install screen.
Host-F1 then host-F7
Be sure to install the guest additions ( in the guest )

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 Guest on Windows 10 Host installation
Thanks, Perryg
The F1/F7 trick didn't solve it, nothing happens with F1. It is a one-off issue, had no problems installing 14.04 64bits and 16.04 32 bits; I keep one of these until 18.04
For the record, my GPU is a NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

Do you get to a tty window when you press host-F1

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 Guest on Windows 10 Host installation
Yes, I was on tty and the thing happened again, with the same screen
To be clear, nothing happens with F1/F7 when the install reaches that situation.
Just now I saw there is already a thread with a similar problem, I am sorry for the "double post". I will follow that thread and post there my advances, if any
Thanks again, Perryg
