Apologies for a repost, I've tried following the guides on how to remove, force an extension pack update but I can't for the life of me get it to work. The output says all the right things but I can't get it to work

Any help would be really appreciated. Are there any logs or other areas I can look. I'm a bit of a noob with virtualbox

I see that this topic is marked as solved, but no information has given on the solution.

I've just come across this behavior, different versions of virtualbox to this post but it may help someone.

I was running the uninstall/cleanup/install commands under sudo but the list command 'not' under sudo, just like in this post.

Running everything as sudo gave the responses I expected.
