On my Trusty host
I have upgraded VBox from
Version 5.0.16 r105871
to latest version from
virtualbox-5.0_5.0.18-106667~Ubuntu~trusty_amd64.deb

After the upgrade I was notified about extension update too.
Updated it from VBox manager UI to 5.0.18r106667.

After this update I was not able to start any of my VM, windows, linux.

I have received the Guru Meditation error for all of them.

After this removed 5.0.18, and reinstalled 5.016.

VM guests working again - although the extension remained the newest 5.0.18r106667

Without knowing exactly what the guru message was not one can tell you what it might be.

I bet if you compress it you can upload it.

I will wait for the next maintenance release - using the 5.0.16 until then.
I hope the LSILogic SAS controller will be corrected in the next release.

Updated to 5.0.20.
I can use all of my VM with SAS controller!
