Hi,
I have a windows service install on a windows 7 pro guest vm. The service need to have access (read and write) to a folder of the host machine (windows 8.1 entreprise).
I set up 2 networks (1 NAT and 1 Host-only Adapter) and define a RW shared folder successfully. I can create/modify/delete files on the shared folder using the Windows Explorer of the guest vm but the windows service don't start. When I move the shared folder locally on the guest vm and ask the service to use this local folder, the service start.
Seems that the service don't start because he can write on the shared folder. The service is running on the Local System account. I tried to run it with the Windows user I use to log on the guest vm (local Windows user) but still the same problem.
I use version 5.0.18 of VirtualBox.
Any idea about the origin of the problem ?
Thank you for your help,
Thibaut.
