Hello,

I try to install Autocad2010, but installation fails with the error: 'Please install DirectX before installing Autocad architect 2010'.
Host is Windows 8.1 64bits
Guest is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bits
If I check using 'dxdiag' I can see that the current version of DirectX is DirectX 11.

VirtualBox 5.0.16 r105871 is installed with VBox Guest Additions 5.0.17 106140.

How can I install Autocad?

First determine which version of DirectX AutoCAD 2010 needs. Then see if that version's installer exists on the AC2010 install disc/ISO, in a support folder or such. If so, install it and then try the AutoCAD installer again.

I have AutoCAD 2013 in several Windows 7 guests on Virtualbox 4.2.16 with no 2D or 3D and it runs fine. I have a VB 5.0.14 host and Windows 7 guest at home and will try 2013 tonight when I can get the installer home.
