I have been tranquilly using virtualbox on zorin os linux (ubuntu derivative, has ubuntu kernel), and suddenly i go to launch it and it doesnt launch. so i launch in terminal and i get the error shown in screenshot. Then i reinstall and try to run again but i have the same error. I would love to start programming on qb64 on my xp vm and this turn of events is very depressing and dissapointing and help would be appreciated! thanks!

Re: virtualbox goofs, reinstall doesnt help
The question you need to answer is what changed? Did you upgrade the host or VirtualBox?
The error is a GTK error and that would seem to be host related.

Something must have changed or it would still be working. Perhaps you installed something. You are the only one that can possibly tell.
I would see about checking the host for upgrades and make sure that your GTK packages are not damaged.

I already have a clue and you have just confirmed it yourself. Something on the host is damaged, corrupt, or packages are out of sync. In any case this is a host issue until you can provide diagnostic information showing otherwise I am afraid.
