Getting BSoD since VBox 1.62

Post by happynoff »

Hi all, (sorry for my bad english I'm french)

Until this week I was using Virtualbox on Pardus.
I don't remember the version but I'm sure it was not the 1.62.

I'm back on Debian, with the binary version of virtualbox, the 1.62.

When I try to launch my XP vm that I used before, juste after the Windows logo, I get a BSoD.

Is there a need of converting VMs ? Since it's the Sun version or something like that ?

Sorry if it a duplacted post but I didn't find another topic talking about it.

Thanks a lot :)

Try the IDE controller setting in the advanced settings VM dialog. Change it from PIIX4 to PIIX3.
