Security question

Post by Xoubaka »

Hi all !

I'd like to deploy VB on a large computer park. I have a few questions and if the answers are in the documentation, sorry I tried to find them but I didn't. :)

1. In case of a VM accessible to several user, would one user be allowed to launch a VM without having reading rights on the VMDK ?

2. Can we configure VB to disable all parameters change for users (so they can't change system parameters etc.) ?

3. When we update VB, do we need to ask the user to reboot his computer ?

Thank you for your answers and your time ;)
(Sorry for the English mistakes...or the lack of clarity)

Unfortunately Virtualbox is not designed for multiuser environments.
So the answer for the first two questions is: no.
