Windows 2003 guest does not accept some keyboard input

Post by illa »

VB 1.6.2
Ubuntu 8.0.4
Guest: Windows 2003 SP2

Issue:
When I boot up the guest in certain configurations I am unable to type certain keys on the keyboard.

So Windows login screen comes up, says username Administrator, I type in the password, but do not see any *****, I can press enter and I am told I am using the incorrect password. I can also backspace out the user name, but when I type in a new user name nothing is outputted to the screen.

This issue occurs when:
1) I enabled SATA support
2) I modify my network configuration setting all 4 NIC states to false
3) modify my network connection and set the one enabled nic's network cable status to unplugged
