Hi, I just installed the Oracle VM Virtualbox because the Windows VM is a pain in the rear trying to install 64bit Windows but with Oracle VM it took a few minutes.

I am using Vista Ultimate 64bit on the Oracle VM Virtualbox, SP1 and 2 are installed along with every other update. Google Chrome installed also, I also activated Windows.
Also using Vista Ultimate 64bit on my main computer since 2006-07 without any issues.

The problem now is that nothing wants to install on the Oracle VM Virtualbox, be it Steam, Flash Player, Java, WinRAR ... I downloaded the installers, but when I double click or try to run them as Administrator, it doesn't do anything, no pop-ups, nothing. As if the icons were there as decorations. The only thing that I can keep installing are the Windows Update language packs and other small Windows updates (mini games for example, nothing important)

I can navigate the internet on the Oracle VM Virtualbox without problems, watch videos on YouTube, I can download programs without problems, but cannot install anything as stated above.

Some help on this would greatly be appreciated! Thanks for the time in looking in to my issues!

You don't "install on the Oracle VM VirtualBox". VirtualBox has little to do with it. You are installing an app in Vista.

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (ONLY) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

If you are running Vista Ultimate 64-bit in your Virtualbox guest, as in it boots up and you can browse the web, then Virtualbox has done its job. As Trillian says in Hitchhiker's Guide:

Seriously, though, this would be something you'd troubleshoot as if you're running a physical PC now.
