Windows 10 start menu stopped appearing

Hi guys and/or gurus, I know this was a problem in the past, but it has just started for me.

Until yesterday, I had a Win10 pro guest running with VB 5.0.12 (I think - it might be 5.0.14). I upgraded to 5.0.16, reinstalled GAs, and now I find the Start menu/screen no longer appears when I click on it. It reacts like a button, but nothing happens. Task View works though, as does eg shared folders. I reverted to a 24 day old snapshot with GA 5.0.12 installed inside, but I still have the same non-working Start menu. Uninstalling and reinstalling GA 5.0.16 didn't solve the problem. I haven't reverted VB itself to an earlier version yet, I wanted to check if this was a known problem. My Win10 home host has an AMD HD 6670 with fairly old drivers, certainly not updated recently. A search here and web didn't lead me anywhere...

Anyone else see this?

I faced this in one laptop (no Virtualbox included) and I created new local user as a workaround.
